Whose Dream is it Anyway?

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do.
                                                            Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

The good works God planned for you is your big dream. He created you for it and He has woven that dream into your soul. And when God weaves a dream into your soul, He’s not going to give up on you. You may stray or let life get in the way, you may chase a different dream for a time; you may even give up. But He is waiting – waiting to give you all His power to finish the race He is asking you to run.

To fully receive this power, He asks only one thing; He asks you to surrender. Surrender is the place where dream fulfillment begins. It’s a releasing; a letting go over time of those flaws, bad habits, and all things that are not pleasing to Him. You’re probably thinking of some of them right now. And there will be others as time passes, because He keeps “upping the ante.”

You’ll probably struggle letting go of some at first; others may fall away with little or no effort. But when He has you where He wants you, amazing things will begin to happen. Your dream will come alive again. You’ll experience spiritual synchronicity – all things will seem to be falling into place as you sense Him working in you. And you will sense His pleasure!

So go ahead – wave the white flag. You’ve nothing to lose and your dream to gain.
